Visa and Entry

Afghan nationals and other non-EU nationals need a visa in order to enter Germany.
The type of visa you require depends on how long you plan to stay.

The German Embassy in Kabul is currently closed. As a result it is not possible to submit a visa application in Kabul.

Applications for national visa (long stay) can be submitted in at the German Embassies in Islamabad and Teheran.
Applications for Schengen Visa (short stay) can be submitted at the German Embassies in Islamabad, Dubai and Istanbul.
