IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISA APPLICANTS IN ISLAMABAD:
In line with EU decisions, Germany introduced travel restrictions for entries from outside the Schengen area on 17 March 2020. All corresponding entries from non-EU-citizens and citizens of non-Schengen states by plane or ship are affected. Entry is possible for German citizens and other nationals with a German residence permit. While restrictions for some countries have been eased on 1 July 2020, they remain in place for travellers from Afghanistan and Pakistan for the time being.
Consistent with the persisting entry restrictions for non-EU-citizens and citizens of non-Schengen states, the Visa Section for Afghanistan of the German Embassy Islamabad remains closed for Schengen visas (C-visas for stays up to 90 days) until further notice.
Exceptions may be made if the applicant can demonstrate the existence of compelling reasons that justify entry under the current rules. In these cases please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Any changes will be communicated on this Website
